Description
Nail Technician Responsibilities:
- Clean, shape, and beautify fingernails and toenails.
- Provide high-quality manicures and pedicures, which includes removing old nail polish from fingernails and toenails, providing cuticle maintenance, and applying new polish based on clients’ preferences.
- Recommend colors, rhinestones and designs.
- Paint designs and apply gel and acrylic nails.
- Recommend various nail designs and nail art to clients.
- Evaluate the condition of clients’ nails and advise them on proper nail care and suitable nail care treatments.
- Sanitize all nail instruments and equipment before each use.
- Ensure workstations are kept clean and orderly.
- Ensure nail and massage supplies are adequately stocked.
- Inform clients of additional beauty services and offers (e.g. loyalty programs, discounts, eyebrow waxing, eyelash extensions, retail products, etc.; thereby enhancing the client’s overall experience and satisfaction.
- Make detailed notes about services received.
- Handle any client complaints or concerns professionally and tactfully to address issues promptly and find satisfactory solutions to maintain a positive client relationship.
- Manage appointments and maintain records effectively and efficiently, keeping accurate client records, updating details, managing schedules, and maintaining confidentiality.
- Provide quality hand and foot massages.
Nail Technician Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- State manicurist/cosmetologist license.
- Proven experience working as a nail technician, with a portfolio of your work.
- In-depth knowledge of manicure and pedicure techniques.
- Expertise in basic and advanced nail care techniques; including French manicures, airbrushing, and gel manicures.
- Knowledge of current nail care and nail art trends.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
